PROJECT MANAGER
Background
Eurotext Translations is seeking a full time Project Manager to manage our translation and localisation projects.
Eurotext Translations is a full-service translation company in business for the past 12 years. Our portfolio of clients includes leading global multinationals in the information technology, engineering, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and financial sectors. We offer a full range of translation, localisation, multilingual desktop publishing and engineering skills to our clients, who are served by highly skilled project management, account management and translation teams.

Purpose
To manage multiple translation projects, ensuring projects are shipped on time to clients within budget.
Eurotext Translations quality processes are to be followed to ensure that each project reaches the client with maximum quality. Due to the expanding nature of Eurotext Translations, the role and responsibilities will develop and change over time.
Depending on experience and skill, the PM may take on overall financial responsibility for delivery of all projects to a particular client or group of clients.
Reporting to
Business Unit Lead
Main duties
Client contact with key customers. Ability to maintain and grow customer relationships.
Developing project schedule including project milestones, delivery dates, booking of resources (both internal and external), ensure quality checks take place and attention to project financial focus
Receive materials for translation, discuss project scopes and agree deadlines with clients.
Preparation of files for translation (saving in different formats, extracting for Trados) and/or liasing with other technical experts (DTP Manager, website engineers) within Eurotext to ensure that files are properly prepared for translation.
Work with internal production unit to schedule translation and internal QA checks on language files
Place work with external resources (language, DTP and engineering) and agree pricing per job (based on fixed rates)
Ensure external resources return files on due dates and times
Resolve issues in a pro-active manner, maintaining a total quality ethos at all times
Maintain and update company procedures as necessary and contribute to process improvement; work with cross-functional teams to nurture these ideas
Requirements
Up to 2 years relevant PM experience in software localisation/translation/similar environment
Proficient organisational, multi-tasking, planning and project handling skills
Ability to clearly and accurately record and summarise project information
Excellent communication skills, relaying vital issues to all project stakeholders
Interest in WWW and website localisation
Strong computer skills including email, MS Excel, Access, FTP and internet
Strong interpersonal skills and team-player ethos
Strong vendors handling skills and a capability to deal with management
Pro-activity in creating new standards and policies
Commercially focussed, recognise the opportunity to prioritise effectively
Innovative in thinking, mature outlook, customer focused
