Meeting your translation requirements is really only half the battle. No matter how idiomatic and accurate your translation is, if it is not understandable to your client, then we have failed in our task.
Eurotext Translations have discovered that many of the errors in multilingual translation are not as a result of the translations themselves but have arisen at the DTP stage. More often than not, the designers have no grasp of the foreign language and therefore make errors in the final layout or typesetting of the translation.
As a result, we have set up an in-house multilingual DTP department. This way we can run our own standardised QA steps on the translated documents until final sign off. Once the documents have been prepared for printing, our translators take one last look at their work to ensure there are no errors.
Our DTP & engineering staff are fully skilled in the major packages including QuarkXPress, InDesign Photoshop, Illustrator, PageMaker, FrameMaker and Dreamweaver.
