VENDOR MANAGER Description of Position Eurotext Translations is seeking a full time Vendor Manager to drive development of our external vendor panel. Eurotext Translations is a full-service translation company in business for the past 12 years. Our portfolio of clients includes leading global multinationals in information technology, engineering, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and financial sectors. We offer a full range of translation, localisation, multilingual desktop publishing and engineering skills to our clients, who are served by highly skilled project management, account management and translation teams. Reporting to Operations Director Responsibilities Service Level Agreement with Vendors: • Create and monitor efficient Service Level Agreements (SLAs) • Gather valid performance metrics to manage profitability and effectiveness of vendors and monitor the adherence to contractual Service Level Agreements. • SLAs must be proactively managed relative to language requirements and overall quality • Must have knowledge of ISO standards and ISO programme implementation/administration • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities to drive increased service, quality and productivity. Support Function: Work closely with Project Managers to: • Source suitable vendors at necessary margins / right quality level • Buy different products depending on project requirements • Evaluate project scope and make vendor recommendations accordingly from a panel of vendors • Prioritize and implement new processes and/or products to vendor operations, to increase efficiencies within the Project Management Department. Follow up on resulting impact and report on performance Financial Orientation: • Must have strong financial/budget management experience • Responsible for outsource spend • Must have a strong understanding of vendor rates and rate compilation • Must be able to purchase effectively from both companies and individuals (translators) • Must have strong ability to negotiate / experience of strategic purchasing • Must have thorough understanding of operating on basis of Invitation to Tender Supply Chain Management: • Must have ability to create strategic, profitable, sustainable business relationships • Monitor vendor performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and develop action plans where necessary for those areas needing improvement. • Must have ability to define the best vendor mix (company vs. freelancer) for Eurotext during the next 3-5 years • Conduct formal quarterly audits on each vendor with close monitoring of follow-up action items • Work with Eurotext's Senior Management team, particularly the Sales Director to add resources in required areas • Ability to focus on waste and eliminate from supply chain Requirements The ideal candidate should be from a localization background, with strong purchasing/vendor management skills and ideally having 3-5 years of relevant experience. A second language would be beneficial but not essential. Good knowledge of IT and ERP systems a plus.
